EZRA JOHNSON

Ezra Johnson (b. 1975, Wenatchee, Washington) lives and works in Tampa, Florida. He received his MFA from Hunter College, New York, NY (2006) and his BFA from California College of Arts and Crafts, San Francisco, CA (2000). Past museum and institutional exhibitions include Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, CA (“Hammer Projects: Ezra Johnson,” 2007); Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, Overland Park, KS (“Domestic Seen,” 2016-17); Tampa Museum of Art, Tampa, FL (“Skyway: A Contemporary Collaboration,” 2017); Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, FL (“Skyway,” 2020); SITE Santa Fe, Santa Fe, NM (2010); Institute for Contemporary Art, Philadelphia, PA (2010); and Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Querétaro / Fundación AMMA, Mexico City (2023). Johnson’s work is held in major collections including Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, CA; Louis Vuitton Foundation, Paris, France; Rubell Family Collection, Miami, FL; and Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Querétaro / Fundación AMMA, Mexico City.
